Peat substrate for (sowing) growing seedlings
Peat substrate for (sowing) growing seedlings is a specially developed soil product, optimal for sowing seeds, rooting cuttings and growing seedlings. Ideal for use in seed fields, greenhouses and home gardening. Provides the correct balance of humidity, aeration and nutrients necessary for the healthy growth of seedlings of vegetable, flower and decorative crops. It is characterized by a high content of organic substances (humus), agrophysical indicators and is an ideal environment for the development of the plant's root system.
Use:
Ideal for sowing seeds and growing seedlings of vegetable crops (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc.), flower and ornamental plants. Can be used as the main substrate in seedling cassettes, pots or for direct sowing in open soil.
Instructions for use:
- Lightly moisten the substrate before sowing the seeds.
- Spread evenly the seeds on the surface, lightly sprinkle with a thin layer of peat substrate.
- After sowing, carefully water the surface, avoiding stagnation of water.
- Maintain constant humidity of the substrate, but do not allow it to be excessively moistened. After germination, provide the seedlings with sufficient light.
Composition: light raised-bog peat — 100%, chalk, agroperlite, YaraMila fertilizer, moisturizer, microelements.
Main characteristics:
- optimal structure: it has a light and loose texture that promotes good aeration and ensures access of oxygen to the root system of young plants
- balanced composition: contains the necessary micro- and macroelements, which provide complete nutrition of plants in the early stages of development
- high water-holding capacity: retains moisture well, ensuring constant access of water to the roots, which contributes to uniform seed germination and seedling development
- the optimal level of acidity: suitable for most cultures and promotes active assimilation of nutrients.

The deposit “Pid Borom” is a legendary place with amazing deposits of peat, where, according to many legends and tales of local residents, real dwarfs live. For difficult, but very useful work, they were called “peat dwarfs” among the people.
“Rozhniativ Torf” became the owner of the deposit “Pid Borom” and, remembering its small inhabitants, entered into an agreement with the chief dwarf.
Under the terms of the agreement, the peat dwarfs will assist people in peat mining, having an opportunity to expand their underground holdings.
For its part, “Rozhniativ Torf” provided the dwarfs with modern equipment and tools for work, supporting their principles of careful extraction.
